After reading Kerouac's "On the Road" and discovering Robert Frank's "The Americans" I set out with my best friend Paul on a quest to immerse ourselves in raw humanity as we travelled by thumb and rail during the summer of 1978.
I used a Canon Pellix and a mix of black and white films, including HP5 and TriX.
