Polar Souls of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge

My project was conceived in 1980 and then realized in 2011. All photographs were taken between 2011 and the present on the North Slope of Alaska, mainly within the boundaries of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. Many thanks go out to the people of Arctic Village and the entire Gwich'in nation.
